This was part of a series of vintage family images I had to retouch for my client.

The original was heavily damaged due to it’s age, with many scratches and cracks and was very faded. The end result is now better than the original.

This retouch was to be used as a Christmas card for Yamaha Music UK.

The brief was to create a Christmas scene from an existing photograph of one of their grand pianos. I decided to make the Yamaha Grand the centre piece of the image, much like a Christmas tree might be on a traditional card.

This photography was to advertise the Yamaha Sound Projector, comprising of over 40 speakers. Yamaha wanted to show this, while not detracting from the overall look of the front grill.

So for this final image I merged two separate shots (with and without the grill) in post and then added a new background.

My brief was to photograph two members of Slipknot during a live gig. Due to a time limit of only 15 minutes, I was unable to get both musicians together in the same shot, so I had to comp two seperate images together in post.

For this image the client wanted to remove the collars and tasing on the cattle and branding on the farmers overalls. I was also asked to change the colour of the farmers clothing. Finally I recoloured it slightly and added a little drama.

The client wanted to change the carpet finish in this image.

I was provided a stock library image and 3 sample swatches of the new carpet finish. Firstly I had to create the carpet tile pattern using the 3 swathes, then I added it the roomset to look like the carpet had always been there.

This image was particularly tricky due to the glass coffee table and the chrome legs on the furniture.

This was photographed for a kitchen manufacturer’s brochure, but because it was a prototype there’s very limited availability of stock.

My brief was to change the wall colour to dark grey and all the excluding the island to a charcoal colour. Finally I had to lighten the flooring slightly.

This image was created entirely from scratch.

At this stage the client has no packaging produced, so they provide me flat vector artwork of what will become the packaging and I have to create a 3 dimensional representation of what it will look like, including the contents.

The weather was not ideal during this shoot and at the time there were still no leaves on many of the trees, so I was asked to make the image a little more summery with more green in the trees and to brighten the overall image to seem less autumnal.

This Yamaha drum key was heavily damaged when I was asked to photograph it for an upcoming ad.

So after photographing it to best show all the best highlights, I then retouched out all the dents and scratches to bring it back to it’s original glory.

A good example of standard e-commerce photography.

Here I photographed the sofa in the studio, then cut it out and reintroduced the shadows in post.

This was one of the most arduous retouches I’ve ever had.

The brief was to remove all the metalwork from the original Gabion wall image. The metalwork would then be physically remade in-store, as part of a display section for a leading boot brand. The image was going to be a backlit transparency, so ever stone had to be perfect.

The overall retouch took 4 days to complete.
